The second painting of this series is more concrete and painted than the first one. The woman is more visible and looks less as a mask as in the first one.

I did this painting during my first session at Pratts! Other than usual I didn’t use a lot of colors but only three and it turned out very beautiful and peaceful. It was chosen amongst the winners of the 5th 2012 Artslant Showcase!

Volcano – blown away!

The picture is inspired by the colours and flows of the lava on Hawaii. I got so impressed by the vast forces of nature at play on the islands, the stories of houses being swept away, the new lands being formed and producing such a paradise given time. The lava and the fire almost naturally came together to form the flowing body of a woman.

Mount Rainier Series

The first painting of my Mount Rainier Series is hanging! Others are in the making. I am currently trying out a new technique which is involving dry pigments – thanks to Steve!
